Meditation: July 6, 2013

“And to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.” 1 Thessalonians 1:10

The posture of the follower of Jesus Christ is anticipation for what lies ahead. The word of God received has lifted his sights above the persecution of trials and the tests that come against him. It has the ability to stabilize us even when the circumstances remain the same. It is word upon word that increases faith and raises the level of expectation for the return of our Lord. Nothing could be more valuable than this. Jesus, whom He raised from the dead provide for us a model of what awaits our future. He was delivered from death through death. The wrath of man measured against us in this world is nothing in comparison to the wrath of God. We must endure the intermediate in order to experience the ultimate. He has delivered us from the wrath to come against all unrighteousness and now we are a part of His kingdom where righteousness reigns. Our deliverance is as result of hearing and obeying the message delivered to us from heaven. It was delivered to us to deliver us from the wrath that is sure to come. As we wait for the return of the Son of God who is in heaven, we must patiently wait for Him to turn the tide in His favor. All things are working together towards this end.

Meditation: June 17, 2013

“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matt 16:19

The keys unlock the mystery of the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus spoke to the multitudes in parables because it had not been given to them to know the mysteries of His kingdom, but it was given to His disciples. They had submitted to Him and had committed to fully follow Him. Along their journey they were graced by the Holy Spirit to receive the revelation from the Father that He was the Christ, the Son of the living God. This truth unlocked the mystery to which they were to enter in. Experiencing Christ is having access bringing down to earth the blessings contained in heaven. As we grow in our knowledge of Christ, not merely our knowledge of created things, we will discover that all is subject to what we are learning. He has preeminence over all things. They maintain their consistency by and through Him alone. A glimpse of Christ is insufficient for the journey ahead of us. We must maintain our focus exclusively on Him if we are to participate in kingdom work.

Meditation: June 5, 2013

“God is far higher than you can imagine, far deeper than you can comprehend.” Job 11:8 (MSG)

Dimensions of God extend far beyond our imaginations. It is impossible for any of us to contain what is to be known of God within our minds. Even those with vivid imaginations one can create fiction with such realism as to draw out tender emotions from the coldest of hearts. Yet much is left wanting in comparison to the majesty of God. There are no limits to Him. The only way to describe Him is through the use of superlatives in comparison and in contrast to what is known. He is higher than the heavens. He is deeper than Sheol, or the depths of hell. There are some who cannot accept what they cannot fully understand. They restrict themselves to the finiteness of their own minds and cannot be expanded to understand spiritual things. Only those who believe on His Name are given the opportunity to explore the depths of God. Throughout eternity, the mysteries of His Kingdom will forever be our quest and our joy in their fulfillment. We now see it, we have the privilege to enter into it, and ultimately we will know its mysteries as we explore its height, width, breadth, and depth throughout eternity.

Meditation: June 1, 2013

“For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required.” Luke 12:48

God expects a return on His investments. The gifts of God are given to each person in order for all to profit as result of His distributions. It is not based on what most would consider as the criteria for God’s judgments. God is not equal in His judgments, but He is equitable. Grace is freely given, but God determines who will receive what is being distributed. Yet we may covet what we deem as necessary, but it must only be for the advancement of His kingdom and not our own. When our hearts yearn to do more for God and we feel powerless to fully participate with Him in what He wills to do, it is in order to seek Him for the empowering gifts that would further qualify us. Yet in our earnestness to receive, it does not obligate Him to any measure to give us what we consider to be necessary. He will give us what He knows is best for ourselves as well as others. But the warning is not to frustrate the grace of God. What God gives must be used as He wills for it to be used. God requires faithfulness of His servants. Only then are they obedient and not wicked.

Meditation: May 22, 2013

“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19

The keys unlock the doors to the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. With one key, the largest and the most difficult door can swing open on the hinges of faith. Peter was given the keys to unlock every door existing there. The possessing of keys is essential, but their proper use is still required. Peter received from the Father the revelation of the Person of Jesus Christ accompanied with the relationship that exists between them. The revelation that He is the Christ provides the keys given to man in order for him to correspond and commune with God. Now it takes spiritual growth and experience to know what things we should ask for thus aligning ourselves with the will of the Father. When earth reflects the will of heaven then earth will have upon it an instrument that will use the keys as a means of having God’s kingdom to come, and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. It is Christ working His work through humanity. His prayer will be upon our lips and whatever Jesus prays for, the Father will hear and answer.

May 2013 Article: “Doers of the Word”

“Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear!”James 1:22 (The Message)

The application of biblical principles is the fuel for a revelation. A revolution is necessary when the direction of government, education, the economy, entertainment, and religion is on a collision course with the will of God. The alteration in reasoning allows room for the majority to intellectually argue their point in defense of error. Even when godlessness makes sense and explanations for foolish decisions make one appear to be wise, the end result remains the same; what is believed is fatal. Therefore, a revolution is needed today in order to rescue our generation from self-destruction.

Although the potency and power of God is contained within the simple truths spoken, that power can only be released when the principles are applied. All truth is God’s truth. Truth is not always the way it appears because much of what is in process has yet to be fully revealed. Truth abides when it possesses the ability to survive the contrary winds that attempt to contradict it. Truth outlasts the scrutiny of critics and naysayers who observe the current scene, limiting their reality to what is sensed or visibly known. God never asked us what we may feel about truth in order to make it truthful. Our task is to pursue what He knows and to seek emotional alignment with His will. Our feelings ought to be subjective while His word remains objective.

Few have seen the benefit of God’s truth in full operation, thereby dismissing it as being non-effective and obsolete. It has been misinterpreted by some who approach it void of understanding of its meaning. Others, however, reinterpret the meaning by attributing whatever meaning may fit their fancy. Each category of people does much harm to the work of the Kingdom of God by placing stumbling blocks in the way of multitudes which would otherwise enter into an experience that produces peace within and without.

The Word is to be both taught and applied rightly if one is ever to experience the full benefit of God’s love. In a love-starved world, people search for significance and the meaning of life while too many die never knowing why they were born. The antidote to violence, sexual promiscuity, and all other vices in the world is purpose. To live intentionally with true values and goals creates adventure in life. The pacification of being overly stimulated through entertainment alone is insufficient, but the adventure that comes when you know that you are making a difference in the world is what endures.

I am designing a workshop for those who wish to tap into their God-given creativity in order to function at their fullest potential. The objective is to eliminate the excuses that are so often offered for the failures in life. You were born for a reason and created to give expression to an aspect of your Creator. I believe that God is able to give everyone a greater measure of success than they ever realized was possible. We need to become more than hearers of the Word, or even proclaimers of the Word. We are to become doers of the Word that we have both heard and proclaimed.

Meditation: May 19, 2013

“Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.” Daniel 7:27

The rising of kings that will attempt to change times and laws will appear to have prevailed against God. The saints will be persecuted and the enemy will prevail against the saints. It will be a day when the God’s Word will be among the minority who are willing to give their lives for what does not appear to be working. As it is today, persecutions are surmounting and Christians are being persecuted in various parts of the world. Their story is not being told and their experiences are often isolated from the whole experience of the Body of Christ in the eyes of many who profess to be believers. Leaders are rising who are void of any knowledge or experience thus not agitating the powers that are currently rising. They coexist with the enemy; therefore they do not pose any threat. Times and seasons are being altered by the opposing forces. Ultimately God will arise to judge the kings of the earth. Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. It will be at a time when defeat will be apparent that God will raise up the lowly and they will reign with Him serving and obeying Him

Meditation: May 2, 2013

“For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.” 1 Timothy 4:10

Those who trust in the living God labor with a goal in view that is different from the activities of others. There are luxuries not afforded the faithful for he must live his life with purpose. Every day must have a degree of significance that further sets him aside as God’s representative on the earth, maintaining the course leading to a destination. Kingdom business is his primary business. Now the world system will notice the difference but will not know how to interpret it. His strangeness will be repulsive to many who would much rather he be silent rather than to speak. His activity appears to run counter to values of his contemporaries. Yet he has fully embraced his call and end to suffer reproach because his life is not his own; he has been bought with a price. Therefore he trusts in the living God who is his constant companion to guide him through this maze of life to his eternal home. His life is a gift to the world so that others who would come to believe that Christ suffered for a reason. That reason being the very ones who do not understand.

Meditation: April 29, 2013

“As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.” Matthew 24:32

One major sign of the return of Christ will be the renewed courage and strength among those who carry the testimony of the Lord. As it was in the days of the prophets and later the apostles, so shall it be among individuals who will stand for truth without compromise. They will be among a people who have relented to casual Christianity, but will not allow the pressures brought to bear against them to discourage them nor diminish their faith. There will be new life within the Church as both young and old will boldly face persecution if required, for righteousness sake. The sign will be an awakening spreading to the ends of the earth. The Kingdom of God will be their message, the cross will be their standard, and zeal of the Lord will totally consume them. Professor Martin Scharlemann of Concordia Seminary said, “As soon as the missionaries are no longer welcome to do their work and their host countries begin to expel them, look up.”

April 2013 Article: “Behold, I Make All Things New”

“Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” Revelations 21:5

Jesus expresses His displeasure with independent decisions resulting from lawlessness and at the same time, His ultimate intentions for His creation. He will replace what appears to be the norm, which has been generated by the gradual falling away, with something different. While the evolution of thought continues on a natural course of rebellion in defiance to God’s rule, He still remains on the throne. His authority overrules what has been placed into motion by laws and decrees which only make sense to the spiritually insensitive. Yet He awakens and disturbs those who wish to know what He thinks about matters that concern the future of all mankind. Only those who are willing to inquire and allow their inquiries to extend beyond their pleasures will stop long enough to question the established course. It is not by coincidence that moral failures are now being celebrated and normalized today. And consequently, uncertainties are increasing and threatening the security of the whole human race. He who sits on the throne allows circumstances to arise in order for all people to consider their ways. The unheard warnings cannot be heard through instructions are experienced through unusual phenomena.

The prophetic warnings of God are not there to add to humanity’s frustrations, but rather to afford an opportunity for those who will participate in the process of renewal. The Church of God is discontented with the direction of Christendom. Christendom is what the world sees and what the world thinks of the Church as a whole in contrast to those who have “contended for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.” He who sat on the throne arises from His throne in order to address the current state of the Church and the world. This is the judgment that began at the House of God which carries over to the world. The light of God exposes the darkness of the world. He allows those who see what He sees to be disturbed as we see examples throughout the Scriptures. The prophets could not find rest among those who paraded their defiance in the face of God. The blindness of the people occurred through the gradual conditioning taking place through entertainment, false messages, and false signs. God’s Word cuts through the propaganda of this modern age as His truth is being published. “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” In a feel-good world, these words are very disturbing. They speak of the end of things as we know them and a birthing of what glorifies God completely.

The signs are all around us and the foundations of manufactured truths are now being shaken. Some would think that His silence is either acceptance or His content. However, He is removing the residue of the past from the hearts of His people as they are purged to want nothing other than His kingdom to come and will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is not an addendum to what they desired beforehand, but a new passion that is genuine, sincere, and a revelation to His eternal purpose that is not limited to time or space.
